My Friday the 13th Pancakes are inspired by the 1980's horror movie classic. The actual ski mask does not come till the 3rd film, but the likeness is perfect for a spooky breakfast.

This post and recipe was created for #HalloweenTreatsWeek! I was sent samples by some of the sponsor companies but as always opinions are 100% mine.

Ch-Ch-Ch-Ah-Ah-Ah......

I love campy horror movies, and I love to create recipes inspired by my favorite. While, my favorite scary movie is Halloween, but I love the Friday the 13th franchise as well.

One of my favorite recipes is my Camp Crystal Lake Punch, but there is something special about Jason's iconic ski mask.

As I said before, the ski mask did not debut until the third movie, but it is the signature look for Jason Vorhees. Jason get the mask in the third movies after stealing it from Shelly in the film. The ski mask also is a perfect inspiration for my Friday the 13th Pancakes.

Did you know that you can visit the filming site of Friday the 13th? It is a camp owned by the Boy Scouts of America in New Jersey called Camp No-Be-Bo-Sco on Sand Pond. You can buy water bottle from the lake (creatively named "Angry Mother"), and parts of the original cabins. I learned about this a few years ago, and still want to go!

My favorite part is the use of the straw. How brilliant!
