You'll float too with a Pennywise (IT) inspired ice cream float. Channeling Pennywise's signature colors with Orange sherbet, cherry soda, whipped cream, and a cherry on top.

Stephen King's novel IT is the inspiration of this Halloween ice cream float. The story takes place in the town of Derry, Maine, with a group of kids has to confront their fears and fight for their live against an evil clown named Pennywise. Pennywise has been responsible for the mayhem and fear for centuries.
The iconic colors from the movie are Pennywise's red nose and orange hair. This IT inspired recipe uses those colors to make a sweet frozen treat with orange sherbet and cherry soda. Topped with whipped cream, orange and red sprinkles, and a cherry (resembling Pennywise's iconic red balloon) create a delicious and chilling Halloween treat.
I created this treat to celebrate Halloween Treats Week. This week you will see lots of spooky treats from myself and other participating bloggers.
There is also a giveaway and one of the prizes is my cookbook: The Serial Killer Cookbook. It is perfect for the spookiest time of year! Check out the giveaway below to enter!

I love orange sherbet, but lime would also be a delicious option. Lime sherbet will not give the orange and red theme, but will be delicious. Rainbow sherbet is another great alternative to orange sherbet, and still a delicious Pennywise Ice Cream Float option.
I use a cherry soda for this recipe, but a lemon-lime soda will work as well. If you can't find cherry soda buy lemon-lime, and use grenadine or juice from the jarred cherries to flavor the soda.
