My Slow Cooker Creamy Italian Chicken is a recipe that my family loves. It is the easiest recipe to put together, under 10 minutes, and the result is the yummiest shredded creamy chicken.
The zesty Italian seasoning with the cream cheese is so hearty and delicious. I love the serve this chicken over egg noodles, and sprinkles a little parsley on top.
My kiddos love this recipe, and it is one of my favorites to warm-up the following day for lunch.
Ingredients
- boneless skinless chicken breasts - boneless skinless chicken thighs work for Slow Cooker Creamy Italian Chicken as well.
- cream of chicken soup
- Italian dressing mix - this dressing packet is located by the bottled salad dressing
- black pepper
- garlic powder
- chicken broth
- cream cheese
- wide egg noodles -rice or other shaped pasta works great
- butter
- dried parsley
Instructions
- Place chicken in the bottom to the slow cooker.
- Mix together the soup, italian mix, pepper, garlic powder, and chicken broth in a bowl. Pour the soup mixture over the chicken.
- Cook on low 7-8 hours. Remove chicken and shred into large pieces. Return to slow cooker and add cream cheese.
- Allow chicken to continue cooking, while periodically stirring, for an additional 30 minutes.
- After you add the cream cheese cook the noodles. Drain and return to pot. Add butter and gently stir. Serve chicken over egg noodles. Garnish with chopped parsley.
