My Slow Cooker Hot Beef Sandwiches are perfect for an easy weeknight meal. Tender beef seasoned with french onion flavors, slow cooked, and shredded.
Slow Cooker Hot Beef Sandwiches are a prep in the morning, and eat in the evening meal.
My recipe is packed with french onion flavor, and an extra zing from an herby italian seasoning blend to make a sandwich that you crave.
I love hot beef sandwiches with a few pickles and a nice slice of cheddar cheese. These are really popular in the Midwest, and it is common to see them on the menu for sporting events, parties, and graduations.
Everyone has their own method to make their Slow Cooker Hot Beef Sandwiches. I love mine because it is really flavorful because of the soup AND the seasoning. I love the rich flavor and it makes the sandwich, truly, the BEST.
Ingredients
- Chuck roast - other roast cuts can be used, but this is the most tender due to the fat content.
- Canned French onion soup - this can be substituted for a cream of mushroom soup, but I love the additional onion flavor.
- Onion soup packet - I love the rich flavor the onion soup packet adds to the hot beef sandwiches.
- Italian Dressing Packet - The zesty seasoning is a delicious flavor.
- Water
- Black pepper
- Sandwich Buns
- Sliced Cheddar Cheese
- Sliced Pickles
Instructions
- Place beef in a 6 quart slow cooker.
- In a medium bowl mix canned soup, water, onion soup packet, Italian dressing packet and pepper. Pour over roast.
- Cook on low for 7 hours. At 7 hours, shred meat and allow beef to cook for an additional hour.
- Serve the Slow Cooker Hot Beef Sandwiches on buns with option of cheddar cheese and pickles as toppings.
