Ingredients
- ground beef
- garlic
- yellow onion
- chili powder
- ground cumin
- smoked paprika
- black pepper
- salt
- red pepper flakes
- brown sugar
- tomato paste
- crushed tomatoes
- tomato sauce
- kidney beans
- beef broth
- white vinegar
- shredded cheddar cheese and sliced green onion for topping
Instructions
- In a medium pot, cook ground beef and onion until the beef is no longer pink.
- Add garlic and cook for an additional 2 minutes.
- Add chili powder, cumin, salt, pepper, red pepper flakes, brown sugar, and paprika. Stir to evenly coat the meat in the spices.
- Stir the tomato paste into the meat.
- Add the crushed tomatoes, tomato juice, broth, beans, and vinegar. Stir well.
- Simmer for 30 minutes. Serve and top with cheese and sliced onions.
