Cheddar Cheese Crisps are a single ingredient cheesy crispy snack! Bakes till crunchy and a delicious low-carb bite.
Cheese crisps are super popular right now and they are delicious as a snack, salad, topper, or even on a sandwich.
I will buy these at the store, but nothing compares to homemade. My Cheddar Cheese Crisps are one of my favorite snacks. The are filled with yummy cheddar cheese flavor and so crispy! These are great if you are following a low-carb or Keto diet, but are great even if you aren't!
I love the dip these in sour cream for a little cheddar and sour cream chip inspiration.
June is Dairy Month and since I live in Wisconsin it is always a great time to celebrate dairy! Typically, in June, there are events all over called "breakfast on the farm". They highlight dairy farming and food provided by dairy farmers- like cheese and ice cream!
This week I am working with a few friends to celebrate Dairy Month and will be sharing recipes featuring, you guessed it, dairy.
Ingredeints
- Cheddar Cheese
- Optional seasoning: taco, ranch seasoning, black pepper, italian seasoning, everything but the bagel seasoning
Ingredient Questions and Substitutions
I love to make my cheese crisps with cheddar cheese. Pepper jack, mozzarella, or parmesan also work great. Do not use sliced cheese to make these.
Seasoning can be sprinkled on top. I love to use everything but the bagel seasoning!
If you want them with a little spice Tajin is a great add-on!
Instructions
- Pre-heat oven to 300°F. Line a baking sheet with parchment paper or a baking mat. Set aside.
- Make even mounds of cheese on the baking mat spaced about 1-inch apart. If using any seasoning lightly sprinkle it on top at this time.
- Place tray in the oven for 10 minutes.
- Remove tray from the oven. Allow the cheese for cool for 10 minutes. Flip the cheese crisps. Return to the oven.
- Bake an additional ten minutes. Remove from oven and let the cheese cool before enjoying. Store in an airtight container or bag.
Process Questions
My crisps are a little chewy- what can I do?
Make sure you let them cool before the flip and second bake. The double bake with cool time is essential. Also, if you make larger cheddar cheese crisps you might need to add a minute to each baking time.
My crisps are sticking to my pan!
Make sure you line with parchment paper or a baking mat.

I could devour the whole batch!! These look so delicious and crispy. Who can say no to crispy cheese crisps?
Julie
These were great with French Onion Soup! I didn’t read the directions properly, but they turned out just fine. I baked them at 300 degrees but did not cool, flip, and bake longer. I simply bake them 20 minutes. They were tasty, delicate, & flaky or crispy.
