Ice cream is a must eat for summer and Snickers are a favorite year round treat. My Snickers Ice Cream Cake is a simple dessert and can be made in under 15 minutes. A few hours in the freezer and it is time to enjoy a delicious chocolatey, caramel, and rich homemade ice cream cake.

My kids and husband are big fans of Snickers bars. They love the caramel, the chocolate, and the salty peanuts. They also love ice cream. I knew that Snickers Ice Cream Cake would be a fast favorite for them.

This recipe is so easy and ready in minutes. I use a store bought chocolate wafer cookie crust to make prep-time so quick and easy. Filled with vanilla ice cream, caramel, chocolate fudge, salted peanuts, and chopped Snickers is perfect for a chocolate lovers dessert.

Ingredients

  • prepared chocolate pie crust- the crust can be homemade as well. You could also use graham cracker if you prefer that to chocolate.
  • caramel sauce
  • chocolate fudge
  • vanilla ice cream- any vanilla variety will do. It is also delicious with a fudge swirl!
  • roasted salted peanuts- I like the additional salty flavor in this dessert. You may also use unsalted or lightly salted peanut for Snickers Ice Cream Cake.
  • fun-sized Snickers bars- this equals about 2 ½ full-size Snickers bars.
  • chocolate syrup- I prefer syrup to fudge for the drizzle on top because it is not as thick.

Instructions

  1. Add half the caramel to the bottom of the pie crust. Add the hot fudge over the caramel. Spread to evenly cover the bottom.
  2. Top with half of the peanuts.
  3. In a medium bowl, mix together the ice cream and ⅔ of the chopped Snickers bars. Spread the ice cream evenly over the peanut layer.
  4. Top by drizzling the remaining caramel over the top. Next, drizzle with chocolate syrup. Finally, add the remaining peanuts and chopped Snickers.
  5. Cover with foil and place in freezer for at least 4 hours to allow the ice cream to harden. Remove foil, cut into slices, and serve.
