Simple sweets and candy are a staple of Christmas food cuisine traditions in our house. I love to make different types of candy and treats. I also love when I have a simple recipe with simple steps and consistent results. Enter Chocolate Saltine Cracker Toffee, some people call it "Christmas Crack", but I am not into that, and it is simply "cracker toffee" in my house.

This recipe is so simple and the ingredients are likely something you keep on hand in your pantry. Saltine crackers and a simple brown sugar toffee create a rich, buttery, sweet, and crisp layer topped with a sprinkle of salt, and a creamy semi-sweet chocolate. Once the candy sets and cools it is chopped and enjoyed throughout the holiday.

I really need to add these to the list to make this year. They would be the perfect addition to the Christmas cookie trays I give to family and friends. That's if my husband and I can actually part with them! They look great Ashley!
