In a large mixing bowl, whisk together the milk and pudding mix for 2 minutes. The pudding will begin to thicken.
Fold in the whipped topping into the pudding until well combined.
Stir in 5 ½ cups apples and chopped Snickers. Make sure to reserve ¼ cup of the chopped Snickers for topping.
Chill in the fridge at least an hour before serving. The salad can be chilled longer or overnight to allow the pudding to thicken.
Remove from fridge when ready to serve. Top with remaining chopped apples and Snickers. Drizzle with caramel topping, if desired. Store in the fridge when not serving.
