Pumpkin Ham and Cheese Pockets

Ingredients

  • 1 package of 8 refrigerated flaky layers biscuits
  • ¾ lb shaved ham
  • 8 slices of mild cheddar
  • 1 egg, beaten with 1 teaspoon of water

Instructions

  • Pre-heat oven to 350 degrees. 
  • Remove biscuits from package and pull layer apart to create two pieces. Spread the dough to create two 4 inch pieces. With a sharp knife, cut the face of the jack-o-lantern. On the bottom piece place ham and sliced cheese. Push edges together and shape like a pumpkin. Repeat with remaining biscuits. Brush the biscuits with the egg wash. 
  • Bake on a non-stick baking sheet for 17-20 minutes or until golden brown and dough is completely cooked. 

Notes

Shaved turkey or other thinly sliced deli meat can be substituted.
