In a large bowl, whisk together mayo, salt, pepper, onion powder, and garlic powder.
Add chicken to the bowl. Toss to evenly coat in the mayo mixture. Allow chicken to rest in the fridge for 40 minutes.
After chicken has rested in the fridge prepare the grill. Heat grill to medium heat.
Grill chicken for 5-6 minutes per side, or until the chicken's internal temperature reaches 165° Fahrenheit (75° Celsius).
During the last few minutes of cooking brush the chicken generously with BBQ sauce on both sides.
Remove from grill. Tent with foil and rest for 2-3 minutes. Serve.
