The Best BBQ Grilled Chicken Breasts

  • 6 boneless skinless chicken breasts
  • 1 cup mayonnaise
  • 2 teaspoon salt
  • 1 tsp black pepper
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • ½ teaspoon onion powder
  • 2 cups bbq sauce


  • In a large bowl, whisk together mayo, salt, pepper, onion powder, and garlic powder.
  • Add chicken to the bowl. Toss to evenly coat in the mayo mixture. Allow chicken to rest in the fridge for 40 minutes.
  • After chicken has rested in the fridge prepare the grill. Heat grill to medium heat.
  • Grill chicken for 5-6 minutes per side, or until the chicken's internal temperature reaches 165° Fahrenheit (75° Celsius).
  • During the last few minutes of cooking brush the chicken generously with BBQ sauce on both sides.
  • Remove from grill. Tent with foil and rest for 2-3 minutes. Serve.
