Simple Taco Soup

  • 1 ½ lb lean ground beef
  • 1 envelope taco seasoning
  • 1 envelope dry ranch salad dressing mix
  • 2 cups water
  • 16 oz can mild chili beans
  • 1 ¼ cup frozen corn
  • 15 oz can pinto beans, rinsed and drained
  • 14 ½ oz can crushed tomatoes
  • 10 oz can diced tomato with green chilies
  • 4 oz can diced green chilies
  • Optional Toppings: Cheese, Sour Cream, Corn Chips, Black Olives


  • In a medium pot, cook beef over medium heat until no longer pink; drain grease.
  • Add taco seasoning and mix well.
  • Stir in the remaining ingredients. Bring to a boil. Reduce heat; simmer, uncovered, for 20 minutes  stirring occasionally.
  • Serve and top with desired taco toppings.
