In a medium pot, cook ground beef and onion until the beef is no longer pink.
Add garlic and cook for an additional 2 minutes.
Add chili powder, cumin, salt, pepper, red pepper flakes, brown sugar, and paprika. Stir to evenly coat the meat in the spices.
Stir the tomato paste into the meat.
Add the crushed tomatoes, tomato juice, broth, beans, and vinegar. Stir well.
Simmer for 30 minutes. Serve and top with cheese and sliced onions.
