Swedish Apple Pie

Ingredients

Apple Filling:

  • 6 medium granny smith apples
  • 1 ½ tablespoon sugar
  • 1 ½ teaspoon ground cinnamon

Crust:

  • 8 tablespoon butter (1 stick), melted
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • 1 large egg

Instructions

  • Pre-heat oven to 325°F. Grease a 9-inch pie plate with butter or cooking spray and set aside.
  • Peel apples and slice into thin pieces. Place in a bowl and toss with cinnamon and sugar. Layer apples evenly into the pie plate.
  • For the crust, mix melted butter, sugar and flour. Add the egg and mix.
  • Evenly spread the batter over the top of the apples.
  • Bake in the oven for 1 hour.
  • Remove and allow pie to cool 20 minutes before serving.
