Crescent Roll Peach Dumplings

Ingredients

  • 8 oz tube crescent rolls
  • 2 medium peaches
  • 8 tablespoon butter, melted
  • ¼ cup brown sugar
  • ½ cup granulated white sugar
  • tsp ground cinnamon
  • ¾ cup white soda (sprite, sierra mist, 7-up)

Instructions

  • Pre-heat oven to 350°F. Lightly grease an 8x8 baking dish with cooking spray and set aside.
  • Unroll the crescent roll dough and separate into triangles.
  • Pit each peach and cut into quarters. You do not need to remove the skin from the peach.
  • Place a peach quarter on the larger part of the triangle of the dough. fold in the sides and roll the peach in the dough towards the smaller end. Place dumpling into the baking pan. Continue with remaining dough and peaches.
  • Whisk melted butter together with sugars and cinnamon. Spread the sugar mixture over the top of the uncooked dumplings.
  • Pour white soda over the dumplings - aim in between the dumplings.
  • Place in oven and back 35 minutes. Remove from oven and serve warm with whipped cream of vanilla ice cream.

Notes

This recipe can be doubled and cooked in a 9x13 baking dish.
